DESCRIPTION:Rotary conducts Mock Council Meetings for students to understand the mechanisms of Local Government\, the process of Council meetings and how policy and local laws are formed and approved. \nStudents at Heritage Christian School Port Macquarie are invited to attend the next Rotary Mock Council Meeting\, hosted by Councilor Adam Roberts\, Mayor of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. Mock agenda items will be presented to the nine mock Councilors (students) to debate and vote. \nMock Council meetings are an effective tool to teach students how Local Government works\, areas of jurisdiction and an incentive to become future leaders. \n \n
